“I grew up in retail and it’s what I know well.” says Alex. From working after school in the delivery department through his High School years and then being in sales, a product buyer, merchandiser, followed by being Vice President of the Furniture store, Alex learned all aspects of the business from the bottom to the top.
“It was invaluable being in all the departments of the business while growing up. You learn how to be efficient in all aspects of the day-to-day operations. I had the advantage of learning from Al and Jerry Klocker who had already been in the retail furniture business for decades. I started out already knowing much about what does and doesn’t work.”
- Being a hard worker.
- Being honest and ethical in our dealings with customers, suppliers, and employees.
- Specializing in bedding and knowing that category better than anyone.
“There’s a big advantage of specializing in one category” says Alex. “You know exactly what to look for in a bed, what makes one bed better than another and the differences between the brands. A customer looking for a new bed wants to speak with a knowledgeable salesperson who can answer questions about all types and brands of bedding.”
Thanks for spending some time with us; we look forward to helping you select a mattress that fits your needs as well as your budget.
